Well, since I am highly sensitive to any kind of gluten, I have some restrictions. I stick to lots of veggies, fruits and lean meats — especially turkey and chicken. Breakfast is usually yogurt and fruit. I also love salads. I make a mean cucumber juice from scratch. I like the buttery flavor. Sometimes I add a bit of orange or mint — it’s very refreshing!
Do you have a wish list of other actors you would like to work with?
Yes! While working with Julianne Moore, I noticed her wonderful scent. It turned out to be Kiehl’s Original Musk Blend No. 1. I guess I stole my favorite fragrance from Julianne. But I don’t think she would mind, since it makes me very happy.
How about your diet?
I had fun checking out the contents of your makeup bag. I really liked your travel-container idea: a contact case! What were those mystery creams in there?
That must have been a great way to stay in shape. What type of workout do you do now to be so fit?
Is there a particular fragrance you are addicted to?
T.T.: You have accomplished quite a bit for such a young age. How are you feeling about it all?
A.T.: Grateful doesn’t seem a strong enough word. It’s very difficult to put it into words. I’ll just say I am very thankful.
I run, usually eight or nine miles. I also power lift and kick-box.
What in your past has helped with what is going on at present?
I gather you enjoy comedy?
If you have the choice, which do you prefer: a strong eye or a vibrant lip?
Oh yes, my must-have is Jason Age Renewal Moisturizing Crème, with 25,000 IU of vitamin E. It has avocado oil, aloe and vitamins A and C in there too. It just works for everything I need it to! I dab it on to smooth out makeup if it gets cakey. It’s rich but not greasy. I even use it to moisturize my lips and eye area. I also mist my face throughout the day with Caudalíe Organic Grape Water COACH BAG, which is soothing and moisturizing. The other must-have cream in my bag is from Giorgio Armani Beauty — Luminous Silk Foundation — it’s simply the best.
Tina Turnbow is a professional makeup artist, who is known for lending her celebrity clients editorial polish.
Tina TurnbowI would go for a lip, but only if my skin was looking even and flawless, because that’s when a strong lip looks best.
I would say skating really helped prepare me for acting. Through that experience, I became more independent, more disciplined and better able to cope with pressure. I learned to detach myself from the work, so I don’t carry it around with me.
Well, yeah, what better than to make someone laugh?
Analeigh Tipton is something of an overachiever. The 22-year-old actress (who plays a baby sitter in the movie “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” opening Friday) has already had an accomplished career as a figure skater, competed on “America’s Next Top Model,” modeled with Ford, attended film school and snagged a leading role in an forthcoming Whit Stillman movie. Tipton will have a recurring part as the sociopathic girlfriend to Lenore’s ho-in-training in the TV series “Hung” next season. Despite all this, she looks incredibly fresh and well rested. I wanted her secrets!
My eyes are deep set and tend to be puffy all the time. To help with this, I have discovered Perricone MD’s Advanced Eye Area Therapy — it is has made such a difference! It helps correct the flaws so I don’t have to use so much makeup. For concealer I like Giorgio Armani Beauty High Precision Retouch, which really brightens. For a bit of healthy color, I opt for Benefit’s Posietint; it’s a lovely sheer pink and lasts all day. To even out my skin and give it a little glow, I like Perfectly Lit by Lorac and Guerlain’s Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 01, for fair skin. Laura Mercier Smooth Focus Pressed Setting Powder in Matte Translucent eliminates any redness because it has a slight green cast to it. Clinique makes the best long-lasting mascara: Lash Power Mascara. I go through Studio Gear’s lip pencil in Soft Plum like crazy; it’s always a stub! To cleanse all this off, I use Caudalíe Instant Foaming Cleanser; it leaves my face fresh and toned.
I would say Nicole Kidman. I really admire her ability to play such a range of characters. Recently COACH BAG, I was really impressed by an actor in “Rabbit Hole” — Miles Teller. I would love to work with him. Comedy-wise COACH BAG, if Lucille Ball were alive, I would jump at the chance to work with her. And Kristen Wiig, her work is genius!
