For resort Coach Purses, Nicolas Ghesquière was inspired by the uniforms that Cristobal Balenciaga made for Air France in 1968. Graphic op-art prints in bright colors looked cheerful and modern. (A closer viewing revealed them to be deconstructed architectural prints.) The house launches its first bag for Edition — a clean tote shape with a cut-out circle for the handle — based on a style from the archive. Swimwear was a highlight Coach Purses, done with scuba details in vivid prints and colors.
